Kristina Waara
Kristina is most inspired by children because their actions always represent the present moment
– a signal to adults that regardless of what you are doing, enjoy and appreciate every moment.
Children are also fearless – a reminder to her that trying new tasks can be a wonderful adventure!
Kristina’s personal service in our country’s National Guard has afforded her to recognize the value
of the self-less service of all our US military personnel and their families and provides her with
remarkable insight into coaching. At eMerge™, Kristina was most impressed with the Basic II™
Program and believes it is a great resource for soldiers, their families, and retirees reintegrating
into civilian life after a deployment or career change.
In her own words
I believe that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. I believe that extraordinary
accomplishments start from setting goals. I want to help others set goals for themselves and
provide them with open and honest feedback so that they can move forward with attaining them. I
believe eMerge’s™ comprehensive car analogy / vehicle approach combined with utilizing proven
brain science is easy for coaches to teach and for clients to understand and readily apply.
My coaching style
My coaching style is one that combines the tools within eMerge™ Program along with the clients
life experiences to help them formulate action steps towards reaching their goals. I am firm and
straightforward. I offer many avenues of approach and encourage clients to choose and make a
commitment to the approach that best suits them to move forward. I feel that my coaching style
can most help those whose Tires (ego) get stuck in the mud and are reluctant to engage their 4-
Wheel Drive (determination and perseverance).
My ideal client
My ideal client is one that is willing to admit that it is time to put forth the effort to make small
changes that will improve their health and desired lifestyle. I provide my clients with inspiration,
motivation, and direction by simply following through with commitments I have made; going strong
from start to finish. I make sure to do this in both my words and my actions. My clients appreciate
that I make the full commitment and see them through to the end.
Five words for taking charge: visualize, describe, direct, empower, and engage.
